The research for this report was carried out by Censuswide. It was conducted among a sample of 550 private equity investors, institutional investors, project owners or developers (including utilities, energy companies, and corporates), financial advisors, commercial banks, institutional investors (pension funds, insurance companies, etc.), energy storage developers, and independent power producers.

There were 50 participants in each market: UK, US, Italy, France, Germany, Australia, Middle East (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia), East Asia (Japan, Singapore), China, Canada, LATAM (Brazil, Mexico, Chile). The data was collected between 27 February and 9 March 2026.
